U19 High School Super League: Four More Games, Plenty at Stake
The U19 High School Super League is set for another thrilling afternoon of Fives football in the Deep South of Cape Town, with four fixtures taking place at Diski Clubs – Court 1 on Friday, August 28. With the five-game league phase nearing its climax, every goal and every point could have a major impact on the playoff picture.
The action starts at 2:00 PM with Fish Hoek Students vs Masi High School. Fish Hoek arrive with momentum after an incredible 8–7 victory over Silvermine Academy last week. The youngest side in the competition is proving that its student-led, grassroots approach can cause problems, with a scrappy style and plenty of initiative. Masi High, meanwhile, will be looking to bounce back from a 3–1 defeat to Simon's Town after previously beating Silvermine 5–0.
At 2:45 PM, Masi Academy face Simon's Town High in a clash that promises plenty of intensity. Masi Academy have shown serious attacking firepower, scoring 17 against Silvermine, 7 against Masi High and 3 against Zeekoevlei in their recent fixtures. Their emphasis on unity and ensuring every player contributes will be put to the test against a disciplined Simon's Town side.
Simon’s Town come into the fixture on a strong run, having beaten Zeekoevlei 3–2. Their naval-inspired approach is built around organisation, structured defending and quick breaks, making them a dangerous opponent in the small-sided game.
The 3:30 PM kick-off brings Masi High School vs Zeekoevlei High. Masi High will be looking to turn their strong performances into consistency, while Zeekoevlei will be keen to build on a narrow win against Masi Academy and narrow loss to Simon's Town. Zeekoevlei's pedigree is unquestionable and they are looking to build on it: they won the 2025 U19 Freedom Cup and finished second at the national SSS tournament in Gqeberha.
